NEW MESSAGE(S):

  • NOTES FROM THE NURSES: Our annual state mandated health screenings are about to begin!  Therefore, health room hours will be strictly enforced.  Any non-emergent condition sent to the nurse will be sent back to class and instructed to return during posted hours.  These hours are from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.-2 p.m. as well as during advisory.  As always, emergencies will be seen at ANY time during school hours.   • Philadelphia Student Union is a citywide organization that develops Philly public school students into leaders around public education issues. The Central chapter will meet on Wednesdays during homeroom. Location TBA, check in Room 210 for details. Mr. T. Quinn (11/2)
  • Community Service Opportunity:  The Lovett Library Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia (Germantown and Sedgwick) is looking for volunteers to be a Computer Buddy at the second floor computer stations. This means working under supervision of the librarian, and helping patrons with basic computing tasks, like printing and logging into library electronic resources. If you are interested, please contact branch manager Marsha Stender at stenderm@freelibrary.org or see Mr. Lobron at Barnwell Library to set up an initial session! Mr. J. Lobron (10/31)
  • Any student interested in joining the Central bowling teams, should see MR. JOHNS in Rm# 060 in the gym.  Please note, Central has both, Boys’ and Girls’ bowling teams. Our season will begin in December. R. Johns (11/30)
