    Our annual state mandated health screenings are about to begin!  Therefore, health room hours will be strictly enforced.  Any non-emergent condition sent to the nurse will be sent back to class and instructed to return during posted hours.  These hours are from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.-2 p.m. as well as during advisory.  As always, emergencies will be seen at ANY time during school hours.   • Attention any student interested in architecture, construction, and engineering (ACE): Central High School is looking for 10 excellent candidates to learn from real-life professionals in design firms in Center City.  Any student interested in participating in ACE Mentoring should come to Mrs. Durkee’s art room 3 Thursday Oct. 25 at 3:15 for a brief information session.   • Community Service Opportunity:  The Lovett Library Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia (Germantown and Sedgwick) is looking for volunteers to be a Computer Buddy at the second floor computer stations. This means working under supervision of the librarian, and helping patrons with basic computing tasks, like printing and logging into library electronic resources.   • Fashion Club will meet after school, every other Wednesday, from 3-4:30 in room 323 starting on 10/17. We delve into the deep concept of design and wish to see you all in the hope that we can expand your knowledge on all different aspects of design, including, but not limited to: fashion, make-up, interior and food design, and so much more.
