Subject Selection Process for the 2024-2025 School Year
Subject Selection is the process students go through each year to pick classes. Ms. Snyder, 11th Grade Assistant Principal, oversees the process. Her email address is ahockfield@philasd.org. The process begins February 2024.
2024 Course Selection and Timeline
- Monday, January 29, 2024: Snyder posts Subject Selection information (“how to” presentation, subject selection guide etc.) on all CHS class Google Classrooms.
- Tuesday, February 6, 2024: 11th Grade Virtual Assembly (284)
- Wednesday, February 7, 2024: 10th Grade Virtual Assembly (285)
- Thursday, February 8, 2024: 9th Grade Virtual Assembly (286)
Friday, February 16 – February 23, 2024
- Students select classes via the Student Portal on Infinite Campus
- AP Snyder will host virtual drop-ins during advisory
Beginning Tuesday, February 20, 2024
- AP Snyder will be available from 3:05 – 3:45 in her Office (Room 254) to answer Subject Selection questions.
Graduation Requirements
Credits required for grade promotion:
- 10th grade—5 credits
- 11th grade—11 credits
- 12th grade—17.5 credits
- Graduation—23.5 credits
