Math and World Language Testing
MATH AND WORLD LANGUAGE TESTING INFORMATION
MANDATORY MATHEMATICS DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT:
All incoming 9th grade students are required to complete a math assessment for appropriate placement. The test will determine eligibility for Algebra I, Algebra I Honors and Algebra II Honors. Students must bring two sharpened #2 pencils.
Testing schedule: FRIDAY, APRIL 24th AT 2:00-3:45 PM
All incoming 10th & 11th graders must contact Mr. Zak, Math Department Chair, to discuss course options and possible assessments, jzak@philasd.org or 215-400-3590 extension #5.
Note: Students who cannot attend should call Mr. Zak, Math Department Chair at 215-400-3590, extension #5, before April 12th.
WORLD LANGUAGE DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT
This assessment is for students entering 9th-11th grade who have had exposure to Latin, Mandarin, French, Spanish or Italian in their school or home and want to continue in that language.
The World Language exam is NOT mandatory if this will be your first experience with any of the above languages.
Students must bring two sharpened #2 pencils.
